Come explore the many kitchens that make the Bluff View Art District an award-winning destination for culinary delights. Put on your chef's apron and press out cookies in the pastry kitchen, hand-dip chocolates with a French chocolatier, mix it up in the bakery with our internationally renowned head baker. Fun never tasted so good!

Wild About Cookies and Chocolate

Who isn't just crazy about cookies and chocolate? Bring the whole family to this special hands-on demonstration of our pastry and chocolate kitchens' award-winning techniques. Take home prized, famous recipes from some of our most sought-after desserts, pipe out cookies and icing, paint and fill chocolate molds as well as sample your own sweet creations right on the spot. Reservations required.

Bakery Science Lab

Come watch the dough fly and the ovens fire up in Chattanooga's oldest artisan bakery, Bluff View Bakery. Sample and buy fresh loaves hot out of the oven. Meet our internationally renowned head baker, Alou Niangadu, and get your questions answered about the science behind bread making and the artistic details that make each loaf unique.

Dates: March 19-April 10
Time: Baking takes place daily from 8am to noon. Bakery storefront open daily til 5pm (Head baker only available Monday - Thursday for Q&A)

Scavenger Art Hunt

Be a true adventurer and explore all Bluff View Art District's nooks and crannies to learn about the arts, architecture, gardening and cooking techniques that make the District one of the most fascinating destinations in Chattanooga. This specially-designed scavenger hunt allows children of all ages to find out more about Bluff View Art District's history and meet the experts who create this unique atmosphere. Pick up your "Scavenger Hunt Map" at Rembrandt's Coffee House, and once you've solved the hunt's mysteries, return to Rembrandt's for your sweet reward!

Dates: March 1-September 30
Time: Mon thru Sat - 10am til 4pm; Sundays - 1 to 4pm
Cost: FREE

Picnic in the Park

What better way to enjoy three of the best things Bluff View Art District has to offer - amazing food, incredible artwork and breathtaking views - than a picnic! Bring your favorite blanket and sprawl out on the lawn of the River Gallery Sculpture Garden or grab a table on the Bocce Ball Terrace overlooking the river. Enjoy a special picnic lunch and dessert prepared by our chefs at Rembrandt's Coffee House or Tony's Pasta Shop & Trattoria. Stop by and place your order then stroll around while your lunch is made, or call to pre-order and pick up when you get here. For pre-orders, call Rembrandt's (sandwich picnic lunches) at 423-265-5033 x3 or Tony's (Italian picnic lunches) 423-265-5033 x6. Sorry, no outside food allowed.

Break out the Bocce

Enjoy some real family-fun outdoor time while trying your hand at Bocce Ball, also known as Italian lawn bowling. The District is proud to have one of the only regulation bocce courts in the region, and even more proud to house it in our beautiful Bocce Ball Terrace overlooking the Tennessee River. Challenging, fun and totally free!
